About:  Michael Erwin

With a diverse background spanning various industries and roles, I bring  experience and dedication to every endeavor I undertake. My journey began in the United States Marine Corps, where I honed my skills as an Avionics Technician, achieving notable recognition for my exceptional performance and leadership abilities. During my tenure, I rose to the rank of Sergeant (E5) in a remarkably short time, demonstrating my commitment to excellence and attention to detail.

Following my military service, I transitioned to civilian life, where I continued to pursue opportunities that allowed me to make a meaningful impact. From my role as a Surveyor with the Arkansas Highway Department to my position as a Bulk Mail Clerk and Window Clerk with the United States Postal Service, I developed a strong work ethic and a keen ability to adapt to diverse environments.

 Impacting the Nations
My career path eventually led me to the non-profit sector, where I discovered my passion for fundraising and community development. As a Development Director and Fundraiser for Serve India Ministries and All India Mission, I played a pivotal role in raising operational support for church planting organizations and medical missions. Through phone calls, emails, and personal meetings with prospective donors, I leveraged my communication skills and strategic thinking to significantly increase funding and expand the reach of these vital initiatives.

Entrepreneurial Endeavors

In addition to my fundraising efforts, I also gained valuable experience in the private sector, helping with a startup company as a Special Gifts Coordinator for Idonate.com, a subsidiary of the National Christian Foundation. In this role, I helped non-profits liquidate non-cash donations and facilitated the launch of Idonate.com, contributing to its early success and growth. Later, I had an unsuccessful attempt at starting a company that converted wood waste into heating pellets. Even though I failed, I learned a ton about how vision and mission work in building an organization.

A Life-Time Learner
Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a strong commitment to service, leadership, and continuous learning. Whether leading a call center team, coordinating volunteers, or harvesting timber as a self-employed logger, I have approached each role with enthusiasm and dedication. My ability to adapt to new challenges, coupled with my passion for making a difference, has been the driving force behind my success in every endeavor.

Now that I am in my 60s, what is my future?
That is what this website is about. How do you overcome financial disaster in your later lives and get up every morning looking ahead and striving to do something greater? I am excited to continue leveraging my skills and experience to support causes that align with my values and contribute to positive change in the world. With a proven track record of success and a deep sense of purpose, I am eager to take on new challenges and make a meaningful impact wherever I go. There are a lot of people out there just like me who are trying to figure it all out. We can do it together!
